Two workers died in work accidents at a Transylvania Motorway building site last night (Thurs/Fri) in Cluj county, and labour inspectors are currently investigating it.A 44-year-old worker fell seven metres from a bridge, and the other, 47, fell 20 metres from a viaduct. In both cases, rescuers were unable to save their lives.
A 42-kilometre sector of the Transylvania Motorway is expected to open on 1 December, Romania’s national day. It will be the motorway’s first section to enter into use.
