The first hotel under the brand Hampton by Hilton in Romania recently opened in the city of Cluj – Napoca, bringing the third Hilton brand to Romania, and the fifth local hotel from the international chain. The three-star hotel required a EUR 15 million investment, which was made by the Rembrook group. The building where the hotel is located was initially intended to be an office building, but as the project ran into problems, a reconversion was made, hotel plus penthouses, according to local media. British group Rembrook took over the stalled office project from local Akros and took care of the reconversion, as well as signing the contract with Hilton.
The hotel has 109 rooms, and runs with a team of 21. It is located 8 kilometers away from the Cluj – Napoca airport and is a 10-minute walk from the center of the city.
