The Super Eagles midfielder has teamed up with the Spanish second division outfit after terminating his contract with CFR Cluj

Nigeria’s Obiora Nwankwo is now a player of Spanish Segunda side, Cordoba for the rest of the season.The 22-year old midfielder terminated his contract with Romanian side FC Cluj where he joined in 2013 from Parma of Italy. In Romania, he made 11 appearances for the Railwaymen before calling it quit.

He is expected to make his debut for Pablo Villa’s side away to Deportivo Alaves at the de Mendizorroza Stadium on Sunday. Cordoba are eight on the Segunda log with 33 points from 23 games.

Obiora is yet to play for the Super Eagles since winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Stephen Keshi’s men in South Africa.
