Danny Murphy says a lack of firepower is costing Fulham points as Mark Hughes targets a January striker signing.
The manager is ready to step up his search for a proven goalscorer, with Freiburg’s Papa Cisse and Cluj’s Lacina Traore near the top of his list.
After Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Sunderland left the Cottagers in the bottom three, captain Murphy told the club’s official website: “We’re very frustrated and it’s becoming a familiar story.
“People talk about not having the rub of the green, and that’s how it feels at the moment.
“But at the end of the day, it’s scoring goals that wins you matches and we haven’t been doing that enough. Let’s be honest, we’ve drawn too many.”
