Defender Jan Kromkamp could miss the whole of PSV Eindhoven’s UEFA Europa League group stage campaign after being told he requires surgery to remove a small piece of bone from his troublesome left knee.The 29-year-old has not played since a 1-0 UEFA Europa League play-off win against Bnei Yehuda Tel-Aviv FC on 20 August. PSV medical staff deliberated his case with specialists from Belgium, with the surgery set to rule the eleven-times capped Dutch international out of action for two to three months. PSV drew 2-2 at AC Sparta Praha on Matchday 1 and host Group K leaders CFR 1907 Cluj in their next game on 1 October.
