Low cost airline Wizz Air will launch two new routes from Romania’s capital and one route from Cluj-Napoca in October this year, according to Romania-Insider.com.As of October 1, the company will operate a flight on the Cluj-Napoca – Nuremberg route, while on October 26 it will start to operate two new flights from Bucharest, to Nuremberg in Germany and Basel in Switzerland. All three flights will be operated twice a week for prices starting from RON 129 (some EUR 29). The new routes are already on sale and can be booked on the company’s website.
Wizz Air also announced that it has increased the frequency of flights for some of its most popular routes. The airline currently operates nine weekly flights from Cluj-Napoca and 20 weekly flights from Bucharest to London Luton.
The route linking Bucharest and Malaga is no longer a seasonal one, and is available throughout the year. The company currently operates 84 routes from Romania, to 40 destinations.
Wizz Air is the largest low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe and operates a fleet of 52 Airbus A320 aircrafts from 18 bases, over 300 routes linking 96 destinations in 35 countries.
