PGL is hosting yet another massive Hearthstone tournament at DreamHack Cluj-Napoca between 29th October and 1st November, with AKAWonder, Freakeh, MartinCreek, and Spo in attendance, according to sk-gaming.com.Following the success Hearthstone tournaments have had at DreamHack events all over Europe and particularly in Romania’s capital, Bucharest, it wasn’t much of a surprise that the LAN festival’s first stop in Cluj-Napoca will also feature a massive Hearthstone competition. At the start 128 players will be spread among groups of 4 but after a couple of group stages only 16 will advance to the playoffs. The tournament will be played in a Best of 5 conquest format, with groups being double elimination and the bracket stage – single elimination.
The prize pool for the tournament is $25,000 and will be distributed as follows:
1st place: $10,000
2nd place: $5,000
3rd – 4th place: $3,000
5th – 8th place: $1,000
As usually a big part of our Hearthstone team will be among those competing with ES AKAWonder, SE Freakeh, SE MartinCreek, and SE Spo looking to take home the trophy. All 4 of them recently moved in together in our gaming house in Berlin so their preparation is top notch and expectations are high.
