Private health company Centrul Medical Unirea (CMU) has adopted the brand ‘Regina Maria’ as the medical group plans to invest 12 million Euro this year in the opening and consolidation of clinics in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta and Bacau.At the end of 2010, Dutch insurance company Eureko sold its share of Euroclinic to CMU, making it one of the biggest private health networks in Romania. ‘Regina Maria’ has now over 1,000 doctors working in six hospitals and 20 clinics throughout the country. ‘Regina Maria’ was the popular royal wife of Ferdinand I in the interwar period and grand-daughter of Britain’s Queen Victoria.
