Team-mate throws Traore transfer spanner

CFR Cluj striker Lacina Traore has been told to reject overtures from Blackburn and Fulham in January and wait for a bigger club.

The 20-year-old Ivory Coast striker is thought to be high on the wanted lists of several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, as he ponders a move from the Romanian champions.
Both Blackburn and Fulham want to recruit the 6ft 8inch-tall striker when the winter transfer window opens next month.
But teammate Emmanuel Culio has told Traore to wait until the summer when there will be a better choice of clubs from across Europe, with major German and Italian clubs also interested.
„I personally told him to wait until the summer,” said the Argentine.
„Then the big clubs are most active in the transfer market. In winter they do not really buy players. If he can play as well in the second half of the season, he has every chance to make a big step in his career.”
Rumours in Italy claim Cluj are asking for £5.5million for the striker, while the most they have received in a concrete offer so far is half that figure.
