Fulham and Blackburn Rovers are leading the race to sign CFR 1907 Cluj striker Lacina Traore , according to sources in Romania.
Both clubs have reportedly made enquires about the 20-year-old hitman, with Rovers said to have made an initial bid of around €4 million.
The Ivorian is having an outstanding season for Cluj, scoring nine and setting up three – an efficiency ratio of a goal or assist every 93.3 minutes.
Traore, dubbed “The new Adebayor,” is a very tall striker with good technique and decent pace, especially over long distances. He is clinical in the box with his head or either foot.
He still has a lot to learn in terms of positional sense, balance and passing, and needs to curb his temper at times, but all in all he is a huge talent.
He is contracted to Cluj until 2015.
