The Government will observe its commitments to carry out by December 1, 2009 a range of major investment objectives, said on Tuesday, Premier in office Emil Boc. ‘We observe commitments and by December 1 we’ll complete major investment goals: Baneasa flyover, Ploiesti ring road (south), Cluj ring road (centre-west, 42 km), Timisoara ring road (west), Oradea ring road (west),’ said Emil Boc , adding that in 2010 Sibiu ring road will be completed by June 1, the first segment and by the end of the year, the second segment.

Romania’s five financial companies SIF plunge 3.72% on BSE at closing bell
Buying pressure lowered the indexes on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) at day-end and the five investment funds SIF plummeted 3.72 percent, as investors’ pessimism showed up following declines on the U.S. markets, brokers deem. The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on the market fell 2.60 percent to 4,522.17 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies dipped 3.11 percent to 2,699.68.

USGBC certification recognizes buildings that set new standards in the design and construction of the world’s greenest, most energy efficient and highly performing buildings. The Nokia Jucu factory is one of a small number of buildings around the world to achieve the LEED Gold rating and the first in Romania to be recognized by the USGBC for its green features. Nokia’s China campus in Beijing was the first Nokia facility to receive LEED Gold Certification in 2008.
