The European Youth Award ready to select this year’s winner

The European Youth Award (EYA) will gather 15 international experts in Europe’s Youth Capital Cluj-Napoca, Romania to share their expertise and experience and select this year’s winners of Europe’s unique contest for young & smart digital social start-ups from September 10-12, according to Digjitale.com.Next weekend Cluj-Napoca will be the center for young digital innovation for social good. International experts with various professional backgrounds will meet, discuss and work together on ICT, digital innovation and social entrepreneurship. Innovation keynotes and world-cafés are awaiting the audience at the open for public Expert Forum on September 11.

“The Expert Forum is a unique chance for the local start-up and innovation community to learn from the EYA Grand Jury Experts evaluating this year’s most innovate digital projects in the race to win the European Youth Award 2015”, says Peter A. Bruck, founder and mastermind of EYA.

Hosted by the SHARE Cluj-Napoca Federation, the forum will take place in the City Hall and is upon registration free of entrance. Following the Expert Forum, the EYA Grand Jury will meet at the Babes-Bolyai-University and dig deeper into the 60 projects that have been shortlisted by over 40 experts dedicating their time and expertise. The Grand Jury Experts will select 1-3 winners per category to board the plane to the winners’ event (EYA Festival) in Graz.

Not an easy task, as Arnau Gifreu Castells, member of the EYA Jury, states: “Every year it is more difficult to be selected as a winner of the EYA contest. This shows that the quantity and quality of projects is increasing.” EYA Grand Jury Meeting and Expert Forum are organized in cooperation with the SHARE Cluj-Napoca Federation and the Babes-Bolyai University.
