Valentin Cuibus, PSD county councillor, asked Alin Tișe (PDL), president of the County Council, to officially inform the Ministry of Health that the county administration does not agree to the plan of merger of hospitals.According to this plan the Infectious Diseases Hospital would merge with the TBC Hospital. Valentin Cuibus said that this would suppress one or two managerial positions, an act which does not lead to any kind of economy given that the new hospital would have 850 employees. Moreover, he pointed out that the type of medical care provided by the two hospitals is very different and so he fails to see the point of this merger. Another argument given by the PSD county councillor was that this decision violates local autonomy given that the Ministry of Health transferred the responsibility of these hospitals to county administration.
