It has been revealed by Wizz Air, the low cost Eastern European airline, that they are to begin four new routes for 2011. Starting in March the airline who already fly from Romania, will begin offering new flights to destinations including London Luton.One of Europe’s most low cost airlines, Wizz Air began in 2004 and has grown to now operate flights to more than 100 destinations. Their latest announcement has further revealed that four new travel options are to be made available to passengers, with British travellers in particular being able to take advantage of the new London Luton to Tirgu Mures route. Meanwhile the firm will also operate new flights from Bucharest Baneasa to Alicante and Bari, and from Cluj Napoca to the Cypriot destination of Larnaca.
Speaking of the new services available with Wizz Air, company chief commercial officer, Gyorgy Abran, said „This route expansion clearly shows the importance of the Romanian market for us.” He added that Wizz Air would continue to provide reliable and efficient services for Romania over the coming years.
With Eastern Europe becoming increasingly popular for tourists who want to avoid the traditional hotspots of Greece and Spain, the news that access to a new Romanian destination has been opened will be welcomed by many. And with many Brits looking ahead to their holiday of 2011 and for a destination yet to be explored, Wizz Air’s new routes could provide the perfect answer.
