Romanian students see Rockford sites

Two foreign exchange students from Romania get a lesson in television news at WREX.The two teens are from Rockford’s sister city, Cluj-Napoca. We gave them a tour of our station, showed them how to do weather and how we get ready for a newscast. The students are only here for three weeks. They’ve already done a lot including visiting local museums, taking trips to Springfield and Madison, and spending a day at Starved Rock State Park. So far Diana Matei says they’ve had a great time. „I really love America, especially for the behavior of the people. All of them, they are so optimistic and enthusiastic and they are all so nice and kind with you.”

The students go back to Romania July 28th.
