Following hot on the heels of the capture of left-back Antunes, Leixoes have confirmed that agreement has been reached with Romanian side CFR Cluj for the loan signing of Brazilian forward Didi. The contract will be made official pending the routine medical tests. Like Antunes, Didi will team up again with his former coach Jose Mota, after the two worked together at Pacos de Ferreira.The 27-year-old forward moved from Pacos to Cluj in the middle of the 2006/07 season, helping the Transylvanian club win a historic Romanian Championship title the following year.
Coach Mota seems intent on turning to players he knows well as he attempts to shore up of his struggling side. Leixoes are currently just one point above the relegation zone.
