DFB-Pokal champions Schalke have given Ciprian Deac permission to move out on a loan deal to Romania this European summer. The midfielder joined the German club from CFR Cluj in June 2010, but has failed to make his mark at the club, earning only two Bundesliga caps.
The 25-year-old will now play in his native Romania after Rapid Bucharest secured his services on loan for the 2011/12 season.
A statement on Schalke’s official website read: „Deac has been loaned for one season, until June 30, 2012.
„The 11-times capped Romania international’s contract with Schalke runs until June 30, 2013.
„Up to the end of last season Deac was used only twice in the league and three times in the Champions League.
„The 25-year-old can now earn increased playing time at Rapid Bucharest.”
