A Romanian citizen dies from A(H1N1) in Italy

A Romanian citizen aged 28 infected with A(H1N1) died on Saturday in Salerno, the Campania region, the most affected zone in Italy by the epidemic, the ANSA informs. The Romanian passed away at the ‘San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d’Aragona’ Hospital in Salerno. He also suffered from other serious pathologies, the Italian Press Agency adds.According to the La Repubblica daily, the Romanian, called P.S., was diagnosed two years ago with cancer, and the tests revealed that in the past days he had contracted the A(H1N1) virus. He had been transferred three days before from the Hospital in Battipaglia to the one in Salerno, where other 14 people were admitted with the same virus.
