Hampton by Hilton Cluj Takes Part in Hilton Worldwide’s Largest Global Career Event

Hampton by Hilton Cluj has taken part in Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month, Hilton Worldwide’s largest ever global career event. Throughout the month of May, Hilton Worldwide hotels and corporate offices around the globe are hosting hundreds of events to inform those looking for employment, including young people, about the vast array of exciting opportunities available to all in the hospitality industry. This event is part of Bright Blue Futures, a global program that encourages Team Members to donate their time and expertise to help young people achieve stability and bring hope to their communities, preparing them for a brighter future, according to Hampton by Hilton management.Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality events are a unique opportunity for Hilton Worldwide Team Members to inspire those looking for employment about careers in the hospitality industry, and to support them by providing guidance on the skills that are vital to succeed in the workplace and beyond. Participants have been joining Hilton Worldwide Team Members for events ranging from resume clinics, to career speed-networking, as well as presentations from Team Members on their career paths.

On 12th May 2014, Hampton by Hilton Cluj hosted an event which gathered almost 50 participants including students, children from families with special situations, single mothers and people with disabilities interested in building a career in hospitality. Throughout the day, they were given tips on how to create a CV and how to plan for career paths. They also engaged in role plays with the hotel team members, in order to get a better understanding of the activities happening in such a hotel.

Andreea Balaj, Hotel Manager, said, “Young people continue to face challenging employment prospects, so it is more important than ever to make sure they receive information and advice about the options available and the skills and attributes they will need once they embark on their chosen careers.

“We are passionate about raising awareness of the opportunities the hospitality industry offers and we are delighted to be doing this through one of our biggest ever careers events across the globe.”, said also Andreea Balaj

Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month is a part of Hilton Worldwide’s Open Doors commitment, which aims to positively impact at least one million young people by 2019 and better prepare them to reach their full potential.
