Striker Momodou Ceesay struck the back of the net twice in a 2-2 draw with Romanian side CFR Cluj but his Zilina side surrendered the fight for the pre-season on shootout.The Gambia international poked in the opener only twenty minutes ticking on the clock to race his side in the lead. The Romanian champions equalized in the 39th minute via the effort of a penalty as either got into break leveled. The ex-Wallidan ace added in the second goal converting from the spot-kick after team-mate Barcik was bundled down in the box.
The 2010/2011 Uefa Champions League debutants Cluj, canceled Zilina’s lead again ten minutes from time and went ahead beat Zico’s Slovakia current league leaders in the penalty shootout.
Despite losing to Cluj, Zilina came out second in the pre-season tournament. Momodou Ceesay and Zilina top the Slovakian league on thirty-two points in the eighteen games. The Gambian striker has two goals to his name so far.
