Wizz Air expands European network

Wizz Air, which in the previous week added its third route to Glasgow, continued to expand its European network with the addition of three new links from its Eastern European bases, all of which are served twice-weekly using its 180-seat A320s, according to anna.aero.On 30 September, the ULCC inaugurated operations (Tuesdays and Saturdays) on the 1,456-kilometre sector from Bucharest (OTP) to Turin (TRN). In addition on the same day, the airline commenced (Tuesdays and Saturdays) its fourth route to Kutaisi (KUT), this time from Budapest (BUD). Besides this, on 1 October, Wizz Air added (Wednesdays and Sundays) the 983-kilometre sector from Cluj-Napoca (CLJ) to Nuremberg (NUE). The ULCC will face no competition on any of the three new additions. Wizz Air is already serving Kutaisi from Katowice, Vilnius and Warsaw Chopin. Noteworthy is the fact that both Nuremberg and Turin are new destinations for the pan-European carrier.
