Wizz Air announces further expansion at its Romanian bases

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced further expansion at its Romanian bases Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara. The airline will deploy a fourth aircraft and launch 3 new services in Cluj-Napoca from 20th December and double its fleet at Timisoara bringing a second Airbus A320 and 4 new services to the base from 1st November, according to balkans,com.Only recently the airline had announced a new service from Cluj-Napoca to Nuremberg in Germany and with today’s announcement of 7 international routes to Belgium, Italy, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland Wizz Air is offering a total of 87 routes from 7 Romanian airports. Wizz Air has further announced more flights on some of its more popular routes which underlines the airline’s commitment to offer Romanian travellers and visitors more low fare services. Tickets on Wizz Air’s newest Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara routes are already on sale.

Making these announcements in Romania, John Stephenson, Wizz Air’s Executive Vice President, said: „We are thrilled to announce the deployment of a 4th Airbus A320 aircraft in Cluj-Napoca and the doubling of our Timisoara fleet from 1 to 2 based Airbus A320 aircraft.
