Cluj have released a note confirming that they have agreed a deal to sell ‘the Georgian Lionel Messi’ Giorgi Chanturia to Verona, says eurosport.com.The 21-year-old, who spent part of his youth development with a season-long loan at Barcelona, only signed for the Romanian outfit in February. However, they have posted a note on their official website indicating that he is bound for the Bentegodi this summer. “Cluj and Hellas Verona have signed an agreement for the permanent transfer of Chanturia,” read Cluj’s statement. “We thank him for his work and wish him good luck for his future.” Verona are believed to have paid for €1m for the attacking winger and he is seen as the first replacement for Juan Iturbe, who is expected to be sold on this summer after an impressive 2013-14 for the Gialloblu.
