The municipality will first make a pre-feasibility study to assess the costs and the possible route of the subway, according to TransylvaniaToday.ro.
According to Boc, the subway is a long-term project as it is estimated that in 20-30 years Cluj-Napoca will reach one million inhabitants, Mediafax reported. At that moment it would be too late for the authorities to think of such a project.
