The Dutch in FrieslandCampina revitalises the Napolact brand

The Dutch group FrieslandCampina, the owner of Naplact and one of the most important players in the industry of dairies, invested over 100,000 euro in the relaunch of the oldest outlet Napolact Cluj Napoca, part of a campaign of ‘ refreshment’ of the brand, according to actmedia.eu.‘Although the consumption of dairies in Romania is low, much under the European average, and the market is very competitive, we wanted to introduce a new concept, unique in Romania which offers the consumers an experience totally special and this is what matters most. The challenges were both financial and organisational, as this is not out main domain of activity (direct sale through own shops)’stated the representatives of Friesland Campina.

Following this investment, the shop Napolact on Mihai Viteazul square which is also the oldest in Cluj Napoca structured its space of 100 sqm in two zones: one for sale of Napolact products and one zone where snacks with cheese such as ‘telemea’ and ‘branza de burduf’, youghurt with candies, cereals and chocolate milk or vanilla milk.

‘The brand Napolact has the biggest strategic importance in the FrieslandCampina portfolio. As a result, only in the last year Napolact managed to draw over 25% more consumers than a year before’ add the officials FrieslandCampina. At present, Napolact owns a network of seven outlets in the Cluj county – five in Cluj Napoca one in Huedin and one in Turda.
