The SIF sector on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) closed session in the green, with a gain of 0.50 percent, as the panic on opening vanished quickly and investors began purchasing, encouraged by the come back of the external markets. Deals totaled 23 million lei at day-end.The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on the market dipped 1.06 percent to 4,817.99 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies lowered 0.76 percent to 2,781.87.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies SIFs soared 0.47 percent to 23,362.15, while the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna slipped 0.24 percent to 10,025.78.
The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies eased 0.35 percent to 468.87 and the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market tumbled 2.30 percent to 604.29.
Shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) were the most traded on the market and idled at 1.25 lei, while SIF Moldova (SIF2) parked at 1.09 lei.
Romania’s fifth bank by assets Banca Transilvania (TLV) added 0.45 percent to 2.21 lei, while the second lender by assets BRD SocGen (BRD) maintained at 13.50 lei.
