The municipal utility in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, has chosen Telvent to install a distribution management system (DMS) for its medium-voltage electrical network. Telvent will work with its Romanian partner, EnergoBit, to complete the modernization of more than 60 transformer substations with Saitel remote terminal units.
Telvent’s DMS will be installed at the utility’s dispatching center and interface with the existing supervisory control and data acquisition system, OASyS DNA. Telvent says the DMS „allows the user to visualize a mathematical model of any distribution network, including detailed models for voltage management, micro-generation, frequency variation, demand response and other smart grid management functions.”
