SIF shares plunge 4.12% on BSE at closing bell, following pessimism on external markets

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) closed session with a decrease of more than 2 percent and the five financial companies known as SIF fell an average 4.12 percent, as the external markets reported wide declinesDeals totaled 22.87 million lei at day-end.

The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on the market dropped 2.02 percent to 4,869.41 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies eased 2.20 percent to 2,803.14.

The BET-FI index of the five SIFs slumped 4.12 percent to 23,252.51 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna lowered 2.46 percent to 10,049.59.

The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies lost 2.68 percent to 470.54 and the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market slipped 1.34 percent to 618.50.
