American director and documentary producer of Romanian origins Alex Rotaru will hold several seminars and workshops for students in two cities in Romania, namely Cluj-Napoca and Tirgu-Mures. In Cluj – Napoca, the seminar will be held on November 16, starting 10:00 hours at the Department of American Studies of the“Petru Maior” University, and starting 14:00 hours at “Unirea” National College. In Cluj, the workshops and seminars will take place thursday, at the Film Faculty starting 10:00 hours, while from 14:00 hours they will be held at the „Sigismund Toduta” School of Music.Alex Rotaru is a director, producer, cinematographer, writer and editor born in Bucharest. In 1992 he left Romania but continued to undergo projects with Romanian actors and producers. He is well-known for several documentaries, such as “Kids with cameras”, “They came to play” and “Shakespeare High”, a feature documentary produced by Kevin Spacey and starring Spacey himself, Richard Dreyfuss, Mare Winningham and Val Kilmer.
