Romtelecom has revealed in a statement which rounds up its 2010 activities that it is working on a new Web TV platform, to be launched „soon”, adding that broadband and TV remain priorities going forwards.
“We are already working on a Web TV platform to be launched soon and we will continue to expand our online features for the customers, which had until now results beyond expectations,” said Yorgos Ioannidis, CEO of Romtelecom.
The telco has undergone a transformation process recently in response to worsening economic conditions, which Mr. Ioannidis states was vindicated by the fact that it has now reached around 1mn customers for each of its broadband and TV services.
Romtelecom operates a DTH service called ‘Dolce’, and soft-launched an IPTV service called ‘Dolce Interactiv’ in December 2009, which was estimated to have reached 10,000 subscribers by May 2010.
