Local lender Volksbank will contact by phone the customers with loans in Swiss francs to present them the lei-conversion offer, which is valid until the end of July, according to Romania-Insider.com.Through this offer, Banca Transilvania (BT), which acquired Volksbank earlier this year, will refund the risk commissions. About 18,300 people can benefit from this offer, reads a Banca Transilvania press release.
Banca Transilvania will return the customers the amounts paid as risk charges and will further offer a 22.5% discount to the resulting loan balance. The offer is valid between May 4 and July 31.
Starting April 8, Volksbank doesn’t calculate and receive risk or administration commissions anymore.
Until May 17, customers benefit from the CHF-RON exchange rate from end – last year, to protect them from rate fluctuations that would negatively impact their monthly installments.
Banca Transilvania completed at the beginning of April the acquisition of Volksbank Romania.
