Romanian cities join global eye contact experiment

Romania’s capital Bucharest, as well as Arad, Constanta, and Cluj-Napoca have joined a large international event called The World’s Biggest Eye Contact Experiment, says Romania-Insider.com.The organizers invite people to make eye contact with a stranger in public for a minute, to rebuild the sense of shared humanity. More than 140 cities around the world have joined the event, such as Buenos Aires, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Montreal, Paris, Berlin, Hong Kong, and New york. See the entire list here.

The experiment already took place in Cluj-Napoca and Arad, on October 15, and in Bucharest on October 17 and will took place in Constanta on October 23. According to the experiment’s event pages on Facebook, more than 5,000 people have confirmed they would be attending this social experiment in Bucharest, and some 500 will make eye contact with a stranger in Constanta.
