Public investments enumerated by Boc before deputies are 42 km of motorway and Baneasa underpass

On Tuesday, in the plenum of the Chamber of Deputies, Premier Emil Boc made a synthesis of the public investments in 2009 and enumerated among the projects funded by the Government the 42 km of motorway, the Baneasa underpass in Bucharest, the ring roads of Timisoara (western Romania) and Ploiesti (southern Romania).At the same time, he announced the continuation of the work on the Transilvania motorway (central Romania) and the finalization of the internal arrivals terminal of the Timisoara Airport.
Emil Boc said that the most important anti-downturn measure taken by the Government was the one of the substantial public investments, under the circumstances in which, in 2009 and 2010, the highest percentage of the GDP in the past few years will be allocated to this field.

Other anti-downturn measures enumerated by Premier Boc included: the extension of the Ramshackle Car Scrapping Programme, the introduction of the First Tractor and First Silo programmes, energy rehabilitation in buildings, rehabilitation and modernization of 10,000 km of roads, the sale of National Housing Agency houses for the youth, support for the SMEs through the guarantee fund, state guarantees for the ones operating with projects financed from European funds, the increase of the pre-funding ceiling for beneficiaries, the compensation of VAT to be recovered, speeding up VAT reimbursement, guarantee schemes from Eximbank and CEC, reduction of VAT rate for purchasing a home, fight against fiscal evasion.
