Liberty Technology Park Cluj, a Fribourg Development project, investment fund managed by business man, Ion Sturza, will be launched Thursday, 5th of December, with the first edition of ITC in the Park. The event, which includes a series of conferences and debates, as well as the launch of business accelerator Spherik, adresses to the IT community and the academic community from Cluj, and it aproaches the trends in business market influenced by the IT industry.„We don’t treat Liberty Technology Park Cluj as a real estate project, we consider it an excellence hub which facilitates the creation of a community formed by specialists from similar domains, with the purpose of generating innovation, progress and development in technology, informatics, communication and research. Any action of ours in this space, will be done in the spirit of this new concept we’re introducing on the market”, declared Ion Sturza, investor and developer of Liberty Technology Park Cluj.
Starting from the idea ‘Connecting minds that think alike”, the first edition of ITC in the Park has the purpose to reunite and to offer the opportunity to debate, exchange ideas and discuss on matters such as: start-ups and their ecosystem of development, smart cities – future cities, technology’s impact over business areas. ITC in the Park was thought to respond to the need of knowing and reuniting people who share the same values and passions.

The ITC in the Park conferences bring together, for the local IT community, distinguished professional speakers from this industry, entrepreneurs such as Radu Georgescu and Diwaker Singh, Todi Pruteanu, Business Strategy Manager at Microsoft Romania, and Bogdan Iordache, CEO&Co-founder at How to Web. They will talk about the market trends impact over start-ups and about the way the industry’s innovations model the profile of new cities.
The event’s schedule also includes 3 panels of debates – „Smart cities, Future cities”, „Trends in ITC”, as well as „Local Ecosystem for Start-ups” – to which will take part business man, Ion Sturza, representative of Banca Transilvania, Babeş-Bolyai University and Techincal University of Cluj-Napoca, as well as representatives of industry’s local companies.
On this occassion, will also take place the launch of the Spherik accelerator. The Spherik accelerator is the most complex business accelerator, the first platform of this kind meant to help, to grow and to give life to potential businesses, destined to development and deployment of local businesses, as well as international ones.
