Kuban Krasnodar Sign Lacina Traore From CFR Cluj

Ambitious Russian side Kuban Krasnodar have completed the transfer of towering attacker Lacina Traore from Romanian champions CFR Cluj for a reputed fee of €4 million. The 20-year-old striker has signed a long-term deal with his new side.
Kuban coach Dan Petrescu was eager to add some more firepower to his squad ahead of the start of the Russian league season and the former Chelsea player has now got his desired reinforcements up front.

Traore started his professional career with Stade d’Abidjan and joined Cluj in the summer of 2008. The striker had since developed into a key player at the Romanian giants and played a major role in Cluj’s league title last term.

Kuban sporting director Sergei Doronchenko was quite pleased with the capture of Traore and made it clear that he’s confident the striker will be a success with his new club.

„Traore is among the most promising strikers around in Europe and he has already shown his class at top level. It’s a huge success for us that we’ve managed to sign him. It was not easy to lure him away from Cluj and we’re very pleased with this transfer.”
