Europa Capital starts construction work on Industrial & Logistic Park Turda

Europa Capital, the pan-European real estate fund management group, to announce that construction has commenced on Industrial & Logistic Park Turda; a 545,781 sq. metre industrial and logistic park project located in Turda, 31 kilometres from the city of Cluj-Napoca, Romania.Inward investment related to the park is estimated to be approximately €200 million, and Europa Capital has entered into a joint venture with Graells & Llonch, the Spanish-owned developer, to undertake the development.

Industrial & Logistic Park Turda will include a wide range of warehouses for acquisition or lease including logistics and distribution warehouses, production facilities for light industry and manufacturing as well as build-to-suit buildings to be delivered at the request of the customers. The Park will also provide land that is fully serviced, including utilities, for companies that prefer to develop their own warehouses and will be offered development support.

The industrial development in Turda will have all facilities required by the latest EU legislation including water, gas, electricity as well as a sewage system, fire protection systems, telecommunication facilities and street lighting. The park will also benefit from the creation of a dedicated public bus service to connect the Park to Turda city, which has been approved by the Turda City Halll.

The project will benefit from the “Industrial Park Title”, which is awarded by the Romanian government. As such, the companies that occupy or purchase land within the Park will take advantage of a municipal tax holiday for a 5-year period. Service charges payable by residents of the Park will be 12 times lower than in other locations with the same profile.

It is expected that Industrial & Logistic Park Turda will create up to 3,000 jobs over the next three years for Turda and Cluj County.
