Premier League side Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Doncaster Rovers out of contract defender Gabriel Tamas.
A move to Aston Villa would see him return to the midlands having spent four-years with neighbours West Bromwich Albion.
He left West Brom to join Romanian side CFR Cluj in September 2013 after agreeing to terminate his contract at the Hawthorns. He spent just a month with Cluj before having his contract terminated due to an off-field incident before signing for Rovers in January.
The 30-year-old Romanian international joined Rovers on a short-term deal in the New Year and he made 14 appearances for the club as they lost their Championship status on the final day of the season
