Clujana footwear factory, a famous brand in Romania (based in the central-western Romanian city of Cluj Napoca), is expected to open new production units and new stores this year, after increasing the number of employees last year by 29 percent against 2008.In September last year, Clujana signed a contract with the French company Soditex, to produce 200 models of shoes for the European market in particular. The first exports under this contract were delivered last year, to France and Ireland. The company concluded another big contract in 2009 with the ‘ Alexandru Ioan Cuza’ Police Academy based in Bucharest, having already served more than 2,000 pairs of shoes to this military institution.
