Roma coach Claudio Ranieri is pleased with his side’s recent victories over Inter in Serie A and CFR Cluj in the Champions League. ‘The Tinkerman’ is hopeful for another positive result at Napoli on Sunday afternoon.
„I’m happy because the team is finding its rhythm. It took two important victories, we did well. Now there will be a great match in Naples, because Napoli are a great team,” he told Sky Sports.
„I expect my men to continue to give everything they have. To play with grit, determination, and insightful actions, with the personality of last season that led to us being vice-champions of Italy.
Full-back Marco Cassetti is likely to be given a starting berth and commented on the upcoming match.
„It’s a difficult match, they started the season with some very good business, perhaps they have struggled a bit at home but we want to continue our run of positive results in order to give ourselves continuity,” he explained to the press.
He then commented on the good form of both Napoli’s Edinson Cavani and Lupi team-mate Marco Borriello.
„[Cavani] had demonstrated his talent at Palermo, but at the start of the season he has proved to be cynical in front of goal,” he stated
„[Borriello] is a great player giving us a hand in these early days. He has shown he can score goals, even spectacular ones. He is a lad that improves the quality of our attacking unit.”
