Heart docs take up residency

Cardiologist John H. Drury, M.D., FACC, FACP, is now seeing patients in the CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado’s Sterling clinic. Dr. Drury has moved to Sterling from New Haven, Conn., and will see patients in Sterling, Holyoke and Brush. Dr. Drury earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. He completed fellowships in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular diseases and a residency and internship in internal medicine. Most recently, he served as the chief medical information officer for the Saint Raphael Health Care System in New Haven as well as medical director in the care management department and associate chief of cardiology there.

Noam Zur is returning in Cluj

Born in 1981 in Israel, Noam Zur the Principal Resident Conductor at the Aalto Theater, Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra of Essen, Germany (2008-2010). He was chosen in 2006 by Maître Pierre Boulez as his assistant as well as consultant & conductor for the Lucerne Festival Academy (2006-2008). According to Slovak State Radio, In 2009-2010 he will give his Italian, Czech, and Slovakian debut performances with „I Pomeriggi Musicali” in Teatro Dal Verme, Milano, the Bratislava Radio Orchestra, and the Northern Czech Philharmonic, respectively. Furthermore, Zur will return to the Transilvanian State Philharmonic in Cluj as well as the Jerusalem Radio Symphony Orchestra.

DW: Romanians work more hours than their German workmates

Deutsche Welle reports about the work conditions at the Nokia mobile phone factory at Jucu in the central Romanian county of Cluj. The report indicates that the Romanian workers there work more hours than their German workmates and are as good as them. The feature was made in reaction to offensive statements against Romanians voiced by German state official Juergen Ruettgers.
