Battistero SpA, a privately owned Italian company, plans to invest 50 million euros ($65 million) in a factory in Romania, Adevarul newspaper reported today, citing the company’s owner.The Parma-based cake producer plans to build the factory near the central Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca and start making panettone, a sweet bread studded with raisins, and other cakes beginning in September 2013, Felice Moretti, Battistero’s owner said, according to Adevarul.
