Romanian league leaders CFR Cluj have announced the departure of manager Antonio Conceicao, less than six months after signing the Portuguese to a two-year contract. The 47-year old, commonly known as Tony, was hired by the 2008 champions in April, and quickly guided the Transylvanian club to the Romanian cup, after which he was handed a contract extension until 2011.Under Tony, Cluj won the Romanian Supercup at the start of the present season, and currently sit top of the league after thirteen rounds of the 2009/10 campaign. Having made it through the qualification phase of the Europa League, Tony’s men have struggled in the group stage, where they sit bottom of their section with two matches remaining.
