Lasselsberger Ceramics Romania, owner of brand Cesarom and the leading local manufacturer of ceramic tiles has successfully completed the relocation of its entire activity in Cluj-Napoca, and it will concentrate its whole business on Sanex S.A., estimating a 10% increase in business in 2014, the company informs in a press release.„In 2013 we decided to concentrate our whole operational activities, besides manufacturing, in Sanex S.A. Cluj-Napoca, and at the beginning of this year we successfully completed this process”, said Sergiu Apolzan, Marketing and Sales Director of Lasselsberger Ceramics Romania.
He also pointed out that for this year Sanex S.A. estimates a 10% increase in local business, up to approximately 33 million euro.
„The evolution of sales makes us optimistic about the current year. Launching the new format of 42×42 cm porcelain tile, increasing the portfolio with new sizes from Lasselsberger Ceramics Group’s other factories and launching the new Cesarom 2014 collections bring opportunities on the construction market that will have a positive impact on our business in 2014”, Sergiu Apolzan added.
He said that the positive evolution of Lasselsberger Ceramics Romania’s business in 2014 will also be determined by a slight increase of exports on the markets in the region, namely the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria.
As for the local ceramic tiles market, the company’s representative estimates that in 2013 it registered a slight decrease, of approx. 5%, from 120 million euro to 115 million euro. Regarding the total volume, the decrease was of about 8%, from 25 million sqm to 23 million sqm.
In a market with strong competitive dynamics, Lasselsberger Ceramics Romania’s strategy is to offer the end consumer the perfect ambient solution for each type of aesthetic, technical and, most importantly, budgetary requirement.
Therefore, this year the company is focused on investments aimed at modernizing production lines, cost optimization, diversifying the product range both dimensionally and regarding design and color. These investments are also considering the decrease of environmental pollution and energy consumption (energy saving).
„Repositioning the Cesarom brand at a premium level is forcing us to have an ongoing process of investments regarding the design, the quality of the surfaces, the colors, as well as diversifying the formats”, Sergiu Apolzan added.
The ceramic tiles manufacured by Sanex S.A. are distributed nationally through more than 150 partners, being present in over 1,000 stores, including all Do-It-Yourself chains.
